According to Indian media reports, this unusual incident took place in the state of Bihar, where Indira Kumari had married a man named Nikul Sharma in 2022. However, her husband was an alcoholic who frequently mistreated and abused her.
Unable to endure the abuse any longer, Indira Kumari found an unconventional way to escape her troubles. She came across Poon Kumar Yadav, who worked as an agent for a finance company.
Initially, their relationship was purely professional, but over time, they fell in love. They kept their relationship secret for five months before eloping to West Bengal on February 4, 2025.
After spending a few days there, the couple returned to Jamui, where they got married on February 11, 2025, in a temple following traditional Hindu rituals. The wedding ceremony was attended by many people, and its video has been circulating on social media.
Poon Kumar Yadav’s family accepted Indira Kumari, but her own family filed a police complaint against the couple. Due to the FIR and threats from her family, the newlyweds have requested police protection.
