KP Higher Education Minister Reviews NOC for University of Agriculture Swat
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Higher Education, Archives and Libraries Meena Khan Afridi chaired a meeting to review the issuance of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the University of Agriculture Swat, with university officials presenting updates on the institution’s academic progress and future plans.
The meeting brought together Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dawood Jan, senior officials from the Higher Education Department, and university representatives to discuss the university’s development and the proposed NOC.
University Highlights Academic and Institutional Progress
During the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dawood Jan briefed participants on the university’s academic achievements, financial sustainability, scholarship programmes, institutional development, and expansion plans.
He emphasized the importance of the timely issuance of the NOC to support the university’s growing academic and administrative needs.
Minister Reaffirms Support for Higher Education
Minister Meena Khan Afridi praised the University of Agriculture Swat for its progress since its establishment and acknowledged its contribution to higher education, agricultural research, and sustainable development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening higher education institutions across the province.
Invitation to Climate Conference
During the meeting, the vice chancellor invited the minister to attend the closing ceremony of the 2nd International Conference on Climate Resilient Mountain Agriculture (CRMA-2026) as the chief guest.
The three-day conference is scheduled to take place from August 5 to 7, 2026.
University officials also expressed appreciation to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for its continued support of higher education initiatives in the province.
