ABBOTTABAD: Representatives of the Hazara Homeopathic Association have called for a reduction in registration and licensing fees for homeopathic practitioners and urged the government to extend greater support to the sector.
The demands were raised during a meeting between Hazara Homeopathic Association President Dr. Masood Akhtar Tanoli and MPA Rajab Ali Abbasi, where issues faced by homeopathic doctors following recent government regulations were discussed.
Concerns Over Registration and Licensing Fees
During the meeting, Dr. Tanoli expressed concern over the increase in clinic registration and license fees, stating that the additional financial burden was creating difficulties for practitioners.
He urged the provincial government to review the fee structure and provide relief to homeopathic doctors to help them continue offering affordable healthcare services.
Call for Equal Facilities
Dr. Tanoli said homeopathic practitioners in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be provided facilities comparable to those available to their counterparts in Punjab.
He emphasized that government support is essential for strengthening homeopathic healthcare services and ensuring low-cost treatment options remain accessible to the public.
Proposal for Tehsil-Level Facilities
The association also proposed the establishment of homeopathic hospitals at the tehsil level to improve access to healthcare, particularly for low-income communities.
According to Dr. Tanoli, expanding government-backed facilities would help provide affordable treatment while supporting the growth of the homeopathic sector.
MPA Assures Support
MPA Rajab Ali Abbasi assured the delegation that their concerns would be raised in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and discussed with the provincial health minister.
A memorandum outlining the association’s demands was also presented during the meeting, including a request for a resolution addressing the issues faced by homeopathic practitioners.
The lawmaker pledged to make serious efforts to help resolve the concerns raised by the association.
