Short Hajj package expected to increase by Rs100,000, while long Hajj package may become Rs50,000 more expensive

Islamabad: The cost of performing Hajj is expected to increase next year, with Pakistani pilgrims likely to pay higher expenses under the upcoming Hajj package, according to sources in the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Sources said the short Hajj package for 2027 may cost around Rs1.3 million, which would be approximately Rs100,000 higher than the previous year. The short package is expected to cover a period of 20 to 22 days.

The long Hajj package, which lasts around 40 days, is also expected to become more expensive by Rs50,000, with its estimated cost reaching Rs1.2 million.

Hajj Expenses to Be Paid in Installments

According to the details, intending pilgrims will be provided with the facility to pay Hajj expenses in installments.

The payment structure will allow pilgrims to deposit the total amount in two installments of Rs600,000 each, making it easier for applicants to manage the financial burden.

The final Hajj package costs are expected to be confirmed after the completion of official procedures and approval of the relevant policy.

The expected increase comes as Pakistan prepares its upcoming Hajj arrangements, with authorities continuing discussions regarding facilities, services and financial planning for pilgrims.
