Field Marshal Asim Munir chairs 275th corps commanders’ conference, reviews security situation

RAWALPINDI, May 5 —Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF, presided over the 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference at General Headquarters, where senior military leadership reviewed Pakistan’s internal and external security environment and reaffirmed commitment to ongoing counter-terrorism operations.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations, the forum emphasized maintaining operational momentum to dismantle terrorist networks and prevent them from regrouping, highlighting continued intelligence-based operations across the country.

The conference paid tribute to members of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians who lost their lives in the line of duty, describing their sacrifices as central to Pakistan’s security and stability.

Security review and counter-terrorism focus

Participants reviewed the prevailing security situation and resolved to sustain current operational efforts aimed at eliminating militant networks and their support systems. The forum noted progress in ongoing operations, including efforts under Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq.

The military leadership also discussed cross-border security concerns, stating that actions remain focused on countering threats and preventing infiltration.

Regional and strategic outlook

The forum assessed broader regional developments, noting that evolving geopolitical conditions could affect stability. It emphasized the importance of restraint and responsible engagement to avoid escalation.
