LAHORE, May 7: A high-level delegation of senior civil servants from Bangladesh visited the National School of Public Policy (NSPP) in Lahore to participate in an executive development programme hosted by the Civil Services Academy.
The visit marks the first official high-level delegation from Bangladesh to NSPP and the Civil Services Academy, reflecting growing institutional engagement and professional cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation was received on behalf of NSPP Rector and Civil Services Academy Director General Farhan Aziz Khawaja by Asim Iqbal and Muhammad Bilal Akram, alongside senior officials from both institutions.
According to officials, the programme includes professional sessions, policy discussions and institutional meetings focused on governance, public administration, leadership development and institutional management.
Focus on professional collaboration and policy exchange
Study visits and cultural engagements have also been arranged to provide the visiting delegation with broader exposure to Pakistan’s administrative institutions and cultural heritage.
Officials said the programme is designed to promote knowledge-sharing and strengthen professional collaboration through lectures, interactive discussions and field visits involving senior public sector professionals from both countries.
During the visit, Farhan Aziz Khawaja is also expected to hold meetings with the Bangladeshi delegation to discuss future collaboration, institutional partnerships and opportunities for academic and professional cooperation between civil service training institutions in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Institutional ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh
The National School of Public Policy is Pakistan’s leading institution for senior civil service training and regularly hosts programmes related to governance, policy development and public administration.
Officials described the visit as an important step toward strengthening institutional ties and improving mutual understanding through structured academic and professional engagement.
