Bajaur | April 30, 2026: At least nine civilians were killed and 12 injured in multiple incidents of cross-border firing in Bajaur district during March and April, according to local administration officials.
Authorities said the casualties included women and children, with damage also reported to several homes in affected areas. The incidents have raised concerns about civilian safety in border communities.
Officials stated that the district administration carried out assessments of losses and coordinated relief efforts for affected families. Local residents acknowledged the response by security forces and civil authorities, describing it as timely support during the incidents.
According to available data, those killed included three women, one minor girl, and five minor boys, while the injured included seven women, one minor boy, and four adults.
Residents in the area have expressed concern over recurring cross-border firing and its impact on civilian life, particularly in vulnerable communities living near the border.
