Abdul Wali Khan University Holds 31st ASRB Meeting To Review Research Proposals

MARDAN: The 31st meeting of the Advanced Study Research Board (ASRB) was held at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Jamil Ahmed.

The meeting reviewed ongoing research activities at the university and examined research proposals submitted by PhD and MPhil students.

Senior Faculty Members Attend ASRB Meeting

Director Academics Dr. Faizan Malik, Director ORIC Dr. Tariq Mahmood, Professor Dr. Saleemullah, Professor Dr. Aurangzeb, Professor Dr. Azam, Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir, and other board members attended the meeting.

The participants reviewed academic progress, research standards, and student proposals presented before the board.

PhD And MPhil Research Proposals Reviewed

A total of 19 PhD and 80 MPhil students presented their research proposals during the meeting.

The board also considered one MPhil extension case.

Among the PhD students, five were from Computer Science, six from Physics, three from Chemistry, two from Microbiology, two from Economics, and one from Mathematics.

Quality Research Linked To University Development

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Jamil Ahmed said quality research is a major source of development and global recognition for any university.

He urged students and teachers to focus on innovation, quality, and solutions to social problems in their research.

He said research outcomes should play an effective role in national development and public welfare.

Professor Dr. Jamil Ahmed said Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan is using all available resources to promote research, encourage modern scientific trends, and support young researchers.

He expressed hope that students would achieve significant success in knowledge and research by using their academic abilities effectively.

At the end of the meeting, board members shared their opinions and suggestions on various research projects. They also directed students to maintain high research standards
