ISLAMABAD, July 31, 2026: Zong has celebrated Pakistan’s title-winning performance at the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship 2026, highlighting its role as the official title partner of the six-nation regional tournament.
Pakistan defeated Bangladesh 3-0 in the final on July 29 to secure the championship, bringing the competition to a close after eight days of matches involving Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan and hosts Pakistan.
Zong said its title partnership formed part of a broader effort to support volleyball, youth development and emerging sports in Pakistan.
Zong Backs Regional Volleyball Championship
The tournament began on July 22 and brought together teams from six countries, providing players with international exposure and an opportunity to earn official world-ranking points.
At the closing ceremony, Zong Head of Marketing Sajid Munir joined officials from the Central Asian Volleyball Association and Pakistan Volleyball Federation in presenting the championship trophy to the Pakistan team.
Munir said the company had chosen to invest in volleyball because of the sport’s popularity among young Pakistanis and its potential for further growth.
He said sports marketing in Pakistan should extend beyond mainstream disciplines and create greater visibility for games with strong youth participation.
Company Highlights Technology’s Role in Fan Engagement
Zong also linked its partnership with the use of digital connectivity during the championship, saying spectators were able to share live moments and engage with the event in real time.
The company said its support for the tournament reflected its wider focus on technology, youth empowerment and inclusive digital participation.
Pakistan’s 3-0 victory in the final added significance to the partnership, with Zong describing the result as a major moment for the country’s volleyball community.
PVF Praises Zong’s Title Partnership
Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chairman Chaudhry Mohammad Yaqoob said Zong’s support helped strengthen the profile of the championship and contributed to its development as a major regional sporting event.
He said the partnership also supported youth development, regional sporting cooperation and Pakistan’s efforts to host international competitions.
Zong said it would continue supporting initiatives that provide young people with opportunities in sports and technology while contributing to Pakistan’s digital development.
