Pakistan defeated Bangladesh in straight sets to win the 2026 CAVA Central Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship, securing the regional title for the third time.
Playing in front of a home crowd at Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad, Pakistan produced another dominant performance to beat Bangladesh 3-0 in Wednesday’s final. The hosts won the match 25-20, 25-16, 25-20, completing an unbeaten campaign.
Dominant Run to the Championship
Pakistan entered the final after defeating Sri Lanka in the semi-finals, while Bangladesh booked its place in the title clash by overcoming Uzbekistan.
The Green Shirts maintained their impressive form throughout the tournament, finishing the round-robin stage without dropping a single set before extending their winning streak in the knockout rounds.
Third Regional Crown
The victory marks Pakistan’s third CAVA Central Asian Volleyball Championship title, reinforcing the team’s growing stature in regional volleyball.
Pakistan’s disciplined blocking, powerful attacking game and consistent serving proved too much for Bangladesh, allowing the hosts to seal the championship in straight sets before celebrating with home supporters in Islamabad.
The latest triumph adds another major achievement to Pakistan’s recent progress in international volleyball and provides a timely boost ahead of upcoming continental competitions.
