World Heart Day 2026: Don’t Miss a Beat
The World Heart Federation’s 2026 campaign focuses on recognizing cardiovascular disease symptoms that can sometimes be overlooked or dismissed until it is too late. Cardiovascular diseases remain a major global cause of death, although many related deaths can be prevented or their risk reduced.
The campaign, “Don’t Miss a Beat,” encourages people to recognize warning signs, take steps to protect their heart health and seek timely medical attention when symptoms occur.
According to the World Heart Federation, around 80% of cardiovascular disease deaths are linked to risk factors that can be prevented or controlled. Regular physical activity and healthier dietary choices can contribute to better cardiovascular health.
As part of the campaign, the “Keep the Beat” challenge has also returned, encouraging people to commit to greater physical activity throughout September. Participants can record their activities and share their progress through the World Heart Day campaign’s digital platforms.
The World Heart Day campaign aims to encourage individuals and communities to take practical steps toward preventing cardiovascular disease and maintaining better heart health.
