She expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of the Private Educational Society, led by Hafiz Muhammad Basharat, Member Board of Governors of the Federal Board and President of the Private Educational Society. Coordinator for Education Azeem Khan Golra was also present on the occasion.

The delegation appreciated the educational services of Minister of State Wajiha Qamar and thanked her for allowing summer camps in federal educational institutions in Islamabad. The delegation said the initiative had produced positive results and enabled a large number of children, who were out of school for different reasons, to reconnect with an educational environment and resume learning activities.

Hafiz Muhammad Basharat highlighted the issues faced by private educational institutions in Islamabad and called for the permanent appointment of the chairman of the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority.

He said the appointment was necessary to ensure the timely resolution of administrative, legal and academic matters concerning private schools. He added that the absence of permanent leadership causes delays in several issues, affecting the performance of educational institutions.

The meeting also reviewed different aspects of educational reforms. Participants stressed that effective measures should be taken through cooperation between the public and private sectors to promote quality education and reduce the number of out-of-school children in the country.

Proposals and practical steps for bringing out-of-school children back into the formal education system were also discussed.

The delegation included office-bearers of different zones of the Private Educational Society, including Raja Khalid, Adnan Aziz, Rao Kaleemullah, Sardar Mazhar Iqbal, Arshad Arain, Muhammad Bilal and other members.
