Israeli Air Force Says Major, Devastating Attack On Iran Was Ready On June 8 But Trump Stopped It

The Israeli Air Force had completed preparations for a major and devastating airstrike on Iran on June 8, but the US president stopped it at the last moment.

According to Israeli media reports, especially The Times of Israel and Ynet, the disclosure was made by Israeli Air Force chief Maj Gen Tomer Bar in a letter addressed to air force personnel and their families.

He said the Israeli Air Force had identified hundreds of targets inside Iran, preparations were complete, and fighter jets were about to take off when US President Donald Trump intervened at the last moment.

According to the Israeli air force chief, President Trump stopped the attack on Iran while all squadrons were ready for flight and pilots were being given the final briefing. However, just one hour before departure, an order was received to cancel the operation.

Gen Bar said that in response to Iranian missile attacks, the Israeli Air Force had already targeted dozens of sites inside Iran, causing damage to Iranian air defence systems and other important installations.

According to the Israeli air force chief, the decision was taken after US President Donald Trump contacted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and advised him not to carry out further attacks on Iran.

Reports suggest that President Trump made it clear to the Israeli prime minister that if Israel escalated tensions at this stage, it would not receive US support and could have to face the consequences alone.

In his letter, Gen Bar praised the Israeli Air Force’s preparations and the professional capability of its personnel, saying that although the operation was stopped at the last moment, the air force remained fully prepared to deal with any possible threat.

It should be noted that the memorandum of understanding for the ceasefire agreement reached between the United States and Iran will be formally signed on Friday in Switzerland by the US vice president and Iran’s Baqer Qalibaf in the presence of mediators and other parties.
