South Africa Women’s U19 Team Arrives in Pakistan for Historic First Tour

South Africa’s Women’s Under-19 cricket team has arrived in Karachi for its first-ever tour of Pakistan, where it will play a five-match T20 series against the Pakistan Women’s U19 side. The series begins on July 14 at the National Bank Stadium and is expected to help both teams prepare for upcoming international youth tournaments.

The visiting squad received a formal welcome upon arrival at Jinnah International Airport before being transferred to its hotel under security arrangements. The tour marks a milestone in cricketing relations between the two countries at the youth women’s level.

Five-Match T20 Series Begins on July 14

The five-match T20 series will be played in Karachi from July 14 to July 24. The fixtures are scheduled for July 14, 17, 19, 22, and 24 at the National Bank Stadium.

Both teams will take part in evening training sessions from July 11 to 13 ahead of the opening match. A trophy unveiling ceremony is also scheduled for July 13, with the captains expected to address the media.

Teams Prepare for Major International Events

The series is part of the preparations for the upcoming ACC Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup and the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup.

Pakistan Women’s U19 will be led by Fiza Fayyaz, while Nikki van Zyl (as reported by the PCB) will captain the South African side.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said the series will provide valuable international exposure for emerging players and help both teams build experience ahead of future global competitions.
