Indian actor Sonu Mishra has revealed that he left a controversial film just two days after shooting began because the agreement allegedly required him to speak against Salman Khan.
According to Indian media reports, Mishra had been offered the role of Salman Khan in the film “Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy.” The actor said he was initially excited about the role, but later understood the alleged purpose of the project after reviewing the contract details.
Actor Objects To Contract Terms
Sonu Mishra said the agreement included conditions requiring him to give statements against Salman Khan in the media.
He said the condition went against his professional principles and personal values, which led him to quit the film.
Mishra Claims Legal Pressure
The actor also claimed that he has faced legal pressure since leaving the project.
He said he could not be part of any campaign intended to create a negative image of any personality.
Govind Namdev Also Distanced Himself
Earlier, senior Indian actor Govind Namdev had also distanced himself from the film.
He said he was not fully informed about the film’s actual subject and purpose, and only learned the details after watching the trailer.
Salman Khan Takes Legal Action
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has already initiated legal action against the film.
According to reports, he approached the Delhi High Court, arguing that the film damaged his personality rights and legal interests.
The controversy has brought the 1998 blackbuck poaching case back into public discussion.
