SIFC, World Bank push business reforms to attract investment

ISLAMABAD, September 27 — The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the World Bank are advancing business reforms aimed at improving Pakistan’s investment climate, simplifying regulations and reducing the compliance burden on businesses.

As part of the ongoing collaboration, the SIFC secretary held a meeting with a World Bank delegation to discuss measures designed to make it easier to do business in the country.

The discussions focused on simplifying business regulations through the Ease of Doing Business framework and the Pakistan Business Portal.

The reforms are aimed at streamlining regulatory procedures, reducing compliance requirements for businesses and creating a more efficient environment for commercial activity and investment.

The World Bank delegation appreciated SIFC’s approach towards the reform process and assured continued cooperation in efforts to improve the business environment.

SIFC is facilitating the reform initiative as part of broader efforts to remove regulatory hurdles and improve conditions for domestic and foreign investors.
