Mumbai: Indian television actor Shilpa Shinde has said that a sexual harassment case she filed years ago against television producer Sanjay Kohli was not based on factual allegations, revisiting a controversy that attracted significant attention within the Indian entertainment industry.

Speaking on a podcast hosted by Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa, Shinde discussed her departure from the popular television serial Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain and the dispute that followed with the show’s producers. She said disagreements over payments and contractual matters were ongoing at the time and that she felt she had limited options to pursue what she believed were her rights.

Shinde stated that the harassment allegations were not accurate and acknowledged that the legal dispute was later resolved through an out-of-court settlement between the parties. According to her, outstanding payments were subsequently cleared as part of the resolution.
