Renowned Pakistani television host and actress Kiran Khan has spoken about unrealistic expectations surrounding marriage, sharing valuable advice for women on building a successful married life.

Speaking on Nida Yasir’s morning show, Kiran Khan said many women imagine marriage as a life filled with love, happiness and romance, but the reality can be quite different.

The actress revealed that she held similar expectations when she got married for the first time at a young age. However, she later realised that the initial days of marriage are primarily about understanding each other and adjusting to a new phase of life.

She explained that when two individuals with different mindsets begin living together, both need to understand each other’s habits and make adjustments to build a harmonious relationship.

Kiran Khan also advised women against comparing their marriages with couples portrayed on social media, explaining that such comparisons can create unrealistic expectations.

She emphasised that open communication is essential for a successful marriage and encouraged women to express their feelings calmly and gently rather than reacting with anger.

It is worth mentioning that Kiran Khan married businessman Mirza Ishtiaq Baig in September this year in a Nikah ceremony held at Masjid al-Haram.
