Shaista Jadoon Welcomes Iran-US Peace Agreement, Praises Pakistan’s Mediation Role

ABBOTTABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Women Wing Hazara Division President and Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Food Security and Research Dr. Shaista Khan Jadoon has welcomed the Iran-US peace agreement, saying Pakistan’s mediation helped reduce the risk of wider conflict and economic instability.

In a statement, Dr. Shaista Khan Jadoon, who is also a Member of the National Assembly, praised the role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in diplomatic efforts linked to the agreement.

She said Pakistan’s political, military and diplomatic leadership had played an important role in encouraging dialogue at a time of heightened regional tensions.

The United States and Iran have reached an agreement aimed at ending hostilities and easing restrictions in the Gulf region, according to recent international reporting. Pakistan has been credited in several reports with a mediation role during efforts to de-escalate tensions between Washington and Tehran.

Dr. Jadoon said Pakistan’s role in the process was a source of pride for the nation. She said the country had demonstrated responsible leadership by supporting negotiations instead of conflict.

She said the agreement was an important step toward reducing tensions through dialogue and could help prevent further bloodshed and economic pressure in the region.

Dr. Jadoon said Pakistan had once again shown that it supports peace, stability and diplomatic solutions to international disputes.

She added that the role played by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in promoting peace was being appreciated internationally.

According to Dr. Jadoon, Pakistan’s contribution to the peace process would be remembered as an example of effective diplomacy and responsible regional leadership.
