MUMBAI: Indian film producer Shailendra Singh has shared an anecdote about Bollywood star Salman Khan, recalling an unusual moment when the actor was reportedly undergoing a PRP hair treatment while eating biryani.
According to Indian media reports, Singh was recalling stories from his time around the actor during a recent interview.
Singh said he once visited Salman Khan at his home and was told by the actor’s manager, Reshma Shetty, that Salman was experiencing hair loss. Singh said he subsequently began looking into possible hair-treatment options.
During a later meeting at Salman’s home, Singh said he witnessed something that surprised him.
According to the producer, Salman had a distinctive habit of eating while looking into a mirror. Singh recalled that they were sitting in the kitchen, where Salman was eating biryani at a small table positioned in front of a mirror.
Singh said that although someone could be sitting directly beside Salman, the actor would often look into the mirror while talking to them.
During the same visit, a person carrying medical equipment reportedly entered the room, put on gloves and began administering injections into Salman’s scalp without interrupting the conversation.
Curious about the procedure, Singh said he asked Salman what was happening. According to Singh, Salman responded humorously that there was a price to pay for becoming a star.
Singh said the hair-treatment procedure continued while Salman carried on eating his biryani.
The producer later learned that the treatment was platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, a procedure in which a person’s own blood components are prepared and used in an attempt to support hair growth.
Singh’s account offers a glimpse into one of the more unusual anecdotes surrounding Salman Khan’s approach to hair treatment and his everyday habits.
