The first picture from Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez’s intimate wedding has gone viral, offering fans a glimpse of the couple’s private ceremony surrounded by their children.
Ronaldo and Georgina reportedly married in a civil ceremony at their home in Cascais, Portugal, on August 11, 2026. Despite being one of the world’s most high-profile couples, they opted for a small and private celebration attended by their five children and a limited number of close family members.
Couple Chooses Gucci for Wedding
For the ceremony, Ronaldo and Georgina chose outfits from luxury fashion house Gucci.
Georgina opted for an elegant white silk skirt suit instead of a traditional bridal gown, while Ronaldo wore a light khaki-coloured suit. Their children’s outfits were also styled in coordinated, understated colours.
The choice of Gucci reportedly carried special significance for the couple. Ronaldo and Georgina first met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Georgina was working as a sales assistant.
Georgina Explains the Simple Ceremony
Georgina said that although she once dreamed of a grand wedding featuring a palace, a large celebration and a long bridal dress, her priorities had changed over the years.
She explained that she now valued a small, private celebration at home with her partner and children more than an extravagant wedding.
According to Georgina, luxury is already part of their everyday lives, but intimate moments shared with family hold a different and greater value.
Ronaldo’s Future in Football
The wedding comes as Ronaldo has also raised questions about his future in professional football.
The 41-year-old Portugal captain has indicated that the 2026-27 season could potentially be the final season of his playing career. He has said he wants to leave football with a lasting legacy, although he has not formally announced his retirement
