Bollywood superstar Salman Khan underwent Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) hair treatment to address hair thinning, according to film producer Shailendra Singh, who recently shared the anecdote during a podcast interview.
Speaking with Cyrus Broacha, Singh recalled witnessing Salman receiving scalp injections during a meeting at the actor’s residence, saying the experience highlighted the pressures of maintaining a star image in the entertainment industry.
Producer Recalls Unusual Meeting
Shailendra Singh said he visited Salman Khan at his Galaxy Apartments residence for a meeting when he noticed a man administering injections into the actor’s scalp while Salman continued eating.
According to Singh, Salman responded casually to his surprise by saying, “There’s a price to pay to be a star, bro,” while the treatment continued.
PRP Therapy for Hair Growth
Singh later said he learned Salman was undergoing Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, a cosmetic procedure in which a person’s own blood plasma is processed and injected into the scalp to help stimulate hair growth.
PRP therapy is commonly used to manage certain types of hair loss, although results can vary from person to person.
Cosmetic Treatments Common in Entertainment Industry
During the interview, Singh observed that many actors turn to cosmetic treatments such as PRP as they age and experience hair thinning.
He mentioned that maintaining a youthful appearance is often considered part of the demands of working in the film industry.
Salman Khan has not made any new public statement regarding the remarks shared in the interview.
