Bollywood performer Nora Fatehi has told a Delhi court that she resides in India on a work visa issued through music company T-Series while giving evidence in the Rs2 billion extortion case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
According to Indian media reports, Fatehi appeared before Additional Sessions Judge Gagandeep Singh at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Friday as a prosecution witness in the case.
The Moroccan-Canadian performer reportedly told the court that she was living in India on an employment visa linked to T-Series. She also discussed her visit to Chennai and a meeting with Leena Paulose, the wife of Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
Investigators have alleged that Chandrashekhar gave expensive gifts to several Bollywood actresses, including Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez, as part of the case.
Fatehi had previously spoken about an offer of a luxury BMW car from Chandrashekhar in 2022. She reportedly told investigators that she declined the vehicle.
Her latest court appearance forms part of the ongoing proceedings in the high-profile extortion case.
