PMEEF Scholarships Worth Rs3.9 Million Distributed Among Students at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan

MARDAN: A scholarship distribution ceremony under the Prime Minister Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PMEEF) was held at the Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, where financial assistance was awarded to deserving and talented students.

University officials said a total of 38 scholarships worth approximately Rs3.9 million were distributed during the event to support students facing financial challenges in pursuing higher education.

Scholarships Awarded to Deserving Students

The ceremony was attended by Principal Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts Professor Fazal Sattar Durrani, Asfandyar Affendi, Shahid Ahmed, and Financial Aid Office representative Ijaz Khan.

Officials highlighted that the Prime Minister Pakistan Education Endowment Fund aims to provide financial support to deserving students, enabling them to continue their studies without interruption due to economic constraints.

Education Investment in the Nation’s Future

In a message issued on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Professor Dr. Jamil Ahmed, described students as one of the country’s most valuable assets.

He said investing in education and skill development is an investment in Pakistan’s future and emphasized the importance of scholarship programs in helping talented students overcome financial barriers.

Students Encouraged to Benefit From Opportunities

Dr. Jamil Ahmed appreciated the efforts of the Government of Pakistan and the PMEEF administration for supporting higher education through financial assistance programs.

He urged scholarship recipients to make full use of the opportunity, remain focused on their academic goals, and contribute positively to the country’s development through education and professional excellence.

The PMEEF scholarship program is designed to improve access to higher education by supporting students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds across Pakistan.
