RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s top military leadership on Wednesday extended Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the nation, reaffirming the Armed Forces’ commitment to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and honouring the sacrifices made by martyrs and their families.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, conveyed heartfelt felicitations to the people of Pakistan on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
The military leadership prayed for lasting peace, national prosperity, and unity, while paying tribute to the resilience of the Pakistani nation and the sacrifices rendered by Shuhada, the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and citizens in defence of the homeland.
The statement said Eid-ul-Azha embodies the values of sacrifice, faith, and solidarity, adding that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in fulfilling their constitutional duty to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The services chiefs reiterated that the Armed Forces stand shoulder to shoulder with the nation in efforts aimed at maintaining peace, stability, and national harmony.
Special homage was also paid to the families of Shuhada-e-Pakistan, whose sacrifices, the statement noted, continue to strengthen the foundations of the country.
The message concluded with the slogan, “Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad.”
