Information Minister Atta Tarar said the country’s armed forces have inflicted heavy losses on Afghan Taliban fighters during an ongoing military campaign titled Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq. In a statement posted on X, the minister outlined casualty figures and damage assessments attributed to the operation.

According to Tarar, 415 Afghan Taliban fighters have been killed and 580 injured so far during Pakistan’s counteroffensive. He said the operation includes coordinated ground and air actions targeting militant positions across multiple locations.
The minister stated that 182 Taliban check posts were completely destroyed, while Pakistani forces had taken control of 31 additional posts. He also claimed that 115 tanks, armored vehicles and artillery guns belonging to the Afghan Taliban were destroyed.
Tarar added that 46 locations inside Afghanistan were targeted in what he described as effective aerial operations. No independent confirmation of the casualty figures or battlefield claims was immediately available.
The statement did not provide details about the timeline of the operation or the specific areas targeted. Authorities have not disclosed information regarding Pakistani casualties.
