Russian envoy extends Pakistan Day greetings, highlights legacy of Lahore Resolution

Islamabad: Russia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev, on Monday said Pakistan Day marks a historic milestone rooted in the Lahore Resolution, as he extended greetings to the government and people of Pakistan.

In his message, he described the 1940 resolution as a defining step that paved the way for the creation of an independent state on the subcontinent seven years later.

Khorev said the people of Pakistan have overcome early national challenges with dignity, while preserving and strengthening their cultural and national values.

He also expressed his best wishes for the health and well-being of the people, and for continued progress and prosperity of the country.
