Veteran Pakistan women’s cricket all-rounder Nida Dar has confirmed her availability for national selection after nearly a year away from international cricket, marking a potential return to the squad following a period of absence.

According to details, the 39-year-old stepped away from cricket in April 2025 due to personal and professional challenges that also affected her mental well-being. She last represented Pakistan in October 2024 during a T20 World Cup match against New Zealand.

Recovery and return to cricket

In a message shared on social media, Nida Dar said she is now feeling better and ready to rejoin the national setup. She added that she is committed to working hard and contributing to the team according to its requirements.

Following her break, she was not included in the central contract list due to form and fitness concerns.

One of Pakistan’s leading all-rounders

Despite her time away, Nida Dar remains one of Pakistan’s most successful all-rounders. She is the first Pakistani woman cricketer to take 100 wickets in T20 Internationals and holds a national record with 144 T20I wickets.

She has also scored over 2,000 runs in T20 Internationals, making her one of the most experienced players in Pakistan women’s cricket history.
