MD-CAT Answer Keys Challenged in Sindh High Court

A petition challenging the alleged controversial answer keys of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MD-CAT) has been filed in the Sindh High Court.
The petition names the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Sukkur IBA University, Jinnah Sindh Medical University and three other respondents. It seeks directions for the immediate publication of the MD-CAT question paper and answer keys on the relevant websites.
The petitioner has requested that both the question paper and answer keys be uploaded within three days, arguing that candidates cannot effectively challenge disputed answers without access to the original question paper.
According to advocate Muhammad Nawaz Dahri, the MD-CAT was held on September 20, but candidates were provided only with carbon copies of their answer sheets and were not allowed to take the question paper with them.
The petition argues that even a difference of a few marks can affect a candidate’s merit position and admission to medical colleges. It therefore seeks the immediate public release of the question paper.
The petitioner has also requested that the final merit list and admissions not be finalized until the matter is addressed and transparency in the examination process is ensured.
