The meeting reviewed arrangements for security, parking, traffic flow, drinking water, lighting, shaded areas and sanitation at cattle markets. The livestock department was directed to deploy veterinary teams and ensure vaccination, spraying and disease prevention measures for animals.
Officials also discussed plans for the collection and disposal of animal waste during Eid. Tehsil Municipal Administrations and Water and Sanitation Services Mardan were directed to launch special cleanliness drives in markets, Eidgahs, graveyards and cattle markets, along with post-Eid fumigation and spraying campaigns.
The administration warned that legal action would be taken against individuals disposing of animal waste in canals, drains and public places.
The meeting further reviewed food prices, official rate lists, transport fares and food safety measures. Relevant departments were instructed to carry out inspections of hotels, bakeries, sweet shops and other food outlets, while action was ordered against profiteering, hoarding and underweight selling.
Police officials were directed to enhance patrolling and monitoring in markets and public areas during Chand Raat and Eid days. Authorities also ordered strict action against aerial firing, one-wheeling and over-speeding.
The health department and Rescue 1122 were instructed to remain on high alert throughout Eid-ul-Adha. Hospitals, emergency units, ambulances and pharmacies were directed to remain operational around the clock to respond to emergencies.
Closing the meeting, the additional deputy commissioner instructed all departments to use available resources to maintain a safe, clean and organized environment for residents during Eid celebrations.
