RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD: More than 400 professionals, business leaders, entrepreneurs and family members gathered in Rawalpindi for MarCom’s Tambola & Tunes, an experiential corporate event designed to bring people together beyond meetings, deadlines and formal networking.
Held at the Glass Marquee, Topi Rakh Complex (TRC), the Friday evening combined Tambola, live music, technology-driven gaming, prizes and family entertainment in a relaxed setting.
The concept was developed by Madiha Naseem Khan, Managing Director of MarCom, who also hosted the event and guided guests through the evening.
Rather than following the format of a conventional corporate gathering, Tambola & Tunes was designed around informal interaction, allowing professionals to attend with their families and connect with colleagues and peers outside the usual workplace environment.
Technology Powers Live Tambola Experience
MarCom integrated technology into the traditional game through custom-built event software deployed across 40 tables.
The system connected the live Tambola rounds with a large SMD screen at the venue, displaying called numbers, game progress and winning combinations in real time.
An animated instructional video was also shown before the games began to help first-time participants understand the rules and format.
The operational execution was led by MarCom Chief Executive Officer Sardar Zaheer Zaufran, alongside Communication Manager Urooj Azam and Manager Marketing & Business Development Yasir Amin Janjua.
The team coordinated guest movement, table management, technical operations, verification of winning tickets and prize distribution throughout the programme.
Five Tambola Rounds, Live Music and Lucky Draw
The event featured five Full House Tambola rounds, split around a live musical performance.
Three rounds were held during the first part of the programme before Hussnain Najum & Band performed rock medleys and acoustic favourites.
Two further Tambola rounds followed the performance before the evening concluded with a Grand Lucky Draw featuring separate male and female winning categories.
The Tambola sessions were conducted under the stewardship of Alina Rana, a development-sector professional, with support from a caller and verification team.
Prizes and Brand Partnerships Add to Experience
Participants competed for a range of prizes and leisure experiences supported by event partners.
The prize pool included Apple AirPods 4 supported by Mercantile, hospitality vouchers from Hotel Elites, Nathia Gali, Ronin speakers and FiloTaxes gift sets.
Bahria Town supported leisure experiences including Arena Cinema, CineGold Plex, Golf Driving Range, Archery Club and Riding Club privileges.
MarCom also offered family photography packages, while ZUS Coffee provided 1+1 coffee privileges to more than 200 participants.
Tapal participated as the event’s Official Tea Partner.
Focus on Connection Beyond the Workplace
MarCom said the event was built around the idea that corporate engagement should not be limited to professional performance, formal meetings or structured networking.
For Madiha Khan, the emphasis was on giving professionals and their families an opportunity to spend time together in an informal environment shaped by entertainment, competition and shared experiences.
Throughout the evening, colleagues and families gathered around tables, competed over Tambola numbers and attended the live musical performance, creating a setting where professional titles took a back seat.
The event also showcased MarCom’s approach to experiential event production by combining concept development, technology, operations, partnerships and entertainment within a single programme.
Tambola & Tunes ultimately turned a simple social game into a large-scale corporate gathering built around one idea: giving people a reason to connect when work pauses.
