Lahore Police Arrest Man Accused Of Shooting Friend

Lahore police have arrested a man accused of shooting his friend following a personal dispute in the Mughalpura area. The injured man is receiving medical treatment and is reported to be out of danger, according to hospital officials.

Police said the suspect allegedly took his friend, Tayyab, from his home under the pretext of going out together. A short time later, the victim’s family was informed by hospital staff that he had been admitted with a gunshot wound.

Victim Undergoing Treatment

Hospital authorities said the bullet entered the victim’s lower back and exited through his abdomen. Despite the severity of the injury, doctors said his condition is stable and he is no longer in critical condition.

Suspect Arrested, Weapon Recovered

Mughalpura police said they arrested the suspect, identified as Akbar Ali, during a follow-up operation. Officers also recovered the pistol allegedly used in the shooting.

According to police, the suspect has a previous criminal record involving serious offences. A case has been registered, and the investigation has been handed over to the Investigation Wing.

SP Civil Lines Chaudhry Asar Ali said individuals who take the law into their own hands will face legal action without exception.
