ISLAMABAD: The third International Seerat Festival, organised by the National Rahmatul-lil-Alameen wa Khatam-un-Nabiyyin Authority, will begin on October 12 and continue until October 14, featuring a range of academic, religious and literary activities.
The three-day festival aims to highlight the teachings and life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), with a particular focus on familiarising young people with the message of Seerat.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will attend the opening ceremony as the chief guest.
An international conference will be held on October 13, the second day of the festival, with Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal scheduled to participate. A separate book-launch ceremony will also take place, with Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar attending as the chief guest.
The festival programme will feature a book fair, a calligraphy exhibition, an international conference, speech competitions, a Naat gathering and a poetry recital. Various academic and literary activities will also be organised throughout the event.
Special attention will be given to highlighting the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through educational discussions and activities related to Seerat.
The final day, October 14, will feature the Seerat Youth Convention, with Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, attending as the chief guest.
According to the organising authority, the festival aims to promote the teachings of Seerat and help younger generations understand and connect with the message and example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
