Pakistan’s Muhammad Yahya and India’s Amrit Vats have won the doubles title at the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J30 tournament in Djibouti, defeating opponents from Thailand and Saudi Arabia in the final.
The Pakistan-India pairing overcame Thailand’s David Awayo and Saudi Arabia’s Ahmed Bahaa Srouji to secure the championship, winning in straight sets with a reported score of 6–2 and 6–4.
Their victory highlights the spirit of international sport, demonstrating how young athletes from different countries can work together through teamwork, mutual respect and a shared passion for tennis.
The achievement also underscores the opportunities junior tennis provides for emerging players to gain international experience and build professional partnerships across national boundaries.
The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) congratulated Muhammad Yahya on the accomplishment. PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, Secretary General Colonel Zia-ud-Din Tufail and the federation’s management praised his performance and sporting spirit.
