Hunza/Lahore | April 30, 2026: Humnava has released its third track from Season 1, Qataghani, bringing together international and local musicians in a cross-cultural collaboration recorded in the mountainous region of Hunza.
The project, filmed at Passu Cones in Gojal, blends traditional Central Asian musical influences with contemporary sounds, reflecting a growing trend of global music collaborations rooted in regional culture. The track highlights how artists from different backgrounds can merge styles to create a shared musical experience.
Curated by music producers Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan and Sherry Khattak, the song features Algerian artist Bakrin Timflati alongside musicians from Pakistan and Europe. The composition combines traditional instruments such as the rubab with modern elements including electronic music and electric violin.

The production brings together artists including Dorian Jonas Goetsh, Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Ali Habib, Ilhan Karim, Muhammad Hunaid, Blaise Merlin, and Adnan Karim, creating a soundscape influenced by regions such as Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and northern Pakistan.
According to organisers, the track is inspired by historical and cultural influences associated with the Qataghan region, interpreted through a modern musical approach. The composition was originally written by the late Ustad Ghulam Abbas Hassanabadi and later arranged and produced by Xulfi and Dorian Jonas Goetsh.
The accompanying music video was directed by Soheb Akhtar and filmed in Hunza, showcasing the landscape alongside the musical performance.
Humnava, co-founded by Xulfi and Muhammad Ibrahim, is a Pakistan-based platform that connects artists from different countries through collaborative music projects. Its first season features more than 30 musicians from Pakistan, France, Germany, Algeria, and Zambia.
The release of Qataghani is part of a broader series of productions under Season 1, aimed at promoting cultural exchange and artistic collaboration through music.
