KARACHI, May 29: Pakistani actor Hania Aamir and filmmaker Saman Kamraan have been included in the 2026 Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in the entertainment category, recognizing their contributions to the region’s creative industries.

The annual list, published by Forbes Asia, highlights young professionals and innovators who have made significant achievements in their respective fields before the age of 30.

Aamir was recognized for her work in Pakistan’s television and entertainment industry. Over the past decade, she has starred in several popular dramas, including Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and Meri Zindagi Hai Tu. She is also set to appear in Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, Pakistan’s first original production for Netflix.

Beyond acting, Aamir serves as a National Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women and is among Pakistan’s most-followed public figures on Instagram.

Recognition for filmmaking

Kamraan earned a place on the list for her work as a filmmaker and storyteller. Her short film The Bed She Made was the only Pakistani entry selected for the 2026 Busan International Short Film Festival.

The film explores the intersection of climate change and fertility in Pakistan and received international attention for its portrayal of social and environmental issues.

Before directing her award-recognized short film, Kamraan worked as an assistant director on Umro Ayyar, one of Pakistan’s notable large-scale fantasy productions.

The inclusion of Aamir and Kamraan continues Pakistan’s representation on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list, which has previously featured entrepreneurs, artists, filmmakers and athletes from the country.
