Gold price in Pakistan drops Rs1,800 per tola on Tuesday, September 22, 2026

KARACHI, Tuesday, September 22, 2026: Gold prices in Pakistan declined for the second consecutive business day on Tuesday, September 22, with the price of 24-karat gold falling by Rs1,800 per tola amid a fresh decline in the international bullion market.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the latest decrease brought the price of 24-karat gold to Rs455,736 per tola, compared with Rs457,536 on Monday.

The price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs1,543 to Rs390,720, extending the downward trend recorded at the start of the business week.

Gold extends losses after Monday’s Rs2,700 drop

Tuesday’s decline came after gold prices in Pakistan dropped by Rs2,700 per tola on Monday, September 21, 2026, when the precious metal settled at Rs457,536 per tola.

The 10-gram rate had fallen by Rs2,315 on Monday to Rs392,236, while international gold declined by $27 to $4,350 per ounce.

The day-to-day difference calculated from the provided closing rates differs slightly from the association’s stated daily change figures of Rs1,543 for 10 grams and $18 per ounce. The current rates and officially reported daily changes have therefore been retained separately.

Over the two business days, the per-tola gold rate has fallen by Rs4,500, from Rs460,236 before Monday’s Rs2,700 decline to Rs455,736 on Tuesday.

In the international market, gold was quoted at $4,322 per ounce on Tuesday, according to the association.

Gold prices in Pakistan generally move in response to international bullion rates and changes in the rupee-dollar exchange rate. As a result, local prices can fluctuate from one trading session to another as global precious-metal markets and currency conditions change.
