FRANKFURT: Overseas Pakistanis and members of the Kashmiri community gathered in Frankfurt, Germany, for the third edition of the “Jashan-e-Marqa-e-Haq – Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos” programme, an event aimed at expressing solidarity with Pakistan and celebrating community engagement abroad.
The event, organized by the EU Pak Friendship Federation Germany on May 24, drew participation from a large number of overseas Pakistanis, including children, women, and senior citizens. Organizers said the programme reflected the continued connection of the Pakistani diaspora with national affairs and cultural identity.
The ceremony began with the national anthems of Germany and Pakistan. Participants waved Pakistani flags, while the venue was decorated with Pakistani and German flags.
The programme opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran and a Naat recital. Singer Viki Chaudhry also performed patriotic songs, including “Dil Dil Pakistan,” which received an enthusiastic response from attendees.
Community leaders and guests attend
The event was organized by Chairman EU Pak Friendship Federation Germany Gohar Bajwa, President Ansar Butt, Chaudhry Ghulam Ghaus Gujjar, and Chaudhry Ehsan Ellahi.
Among the guests were Haji Qamar Zaman, President of the World Islamic Mission, Chaudhry Mazhar Dewna, and President POAF Europe Chaudhry Ijaz Piara, who presided over the gathering.
Young members of the Pakistani diaspora also participated. A child delivered a speech in Dutch, while a young representative associated with Prime Minister Youth Europe addressed the audience on youth engagement and community participation.

Speakers discuss diaspora role and national development
Shareef Academy’s Shafeeq Murad served as stage secretary, while the academy was acknowledged for its efforts in promoting the Urdu language among overseas Pakistanis.
Chairman EU Pak Friendship Federation Europe Dr. Perveiz Iqbal Lohsar attended as chief guest and spoke about the role of Pakistan’s institutions, national unity, and the contribution of overseas Pakistanis.
Speakers highlighted the importance of community cohesion, civic engagement, and maintaining ties with Pakistan while living abroad. They also emphasized the need to address misinformation and promote constructive dialogue within diaspora communities.
Organizers said the strong participation of families, youth, and community leaders reflected the continued engagement of overseas Pakistanis in cultural and national affairs.
The programme concluded with expressions of support for Pakistan and calls for unity, stability, and continued cooperation among overseas Pakistani communities.
