Former Pakistani film and theatre performer Nargis has once again drawn public attention after commenting on her career, earnings, and religious views during a recent interview.
Speaking about her time in the entertainment industry, she said she has consistently paid Zakat since the beginning of her career and believes it purifies income. According to her, she never brought earnings home without deducting Zakat, which she described as a religious obligation that brings blessings and purity to wealth.

She also recalled her recent pilgrimage, saying the experience during Hajj left her emotional and remains one of the most memorable moments of her life.
Life after showbiz
The former performer was once a prominent figure in Pakistan’s stage and film industry before stepping away from showbiz after marriage. She is now based in Lahore, where she runs a private business.
