Essential Medicines Delivered to Parachinar DHQ on Health Advisor’s Directives
On the instructions of Advisor to the Chief Minister on Health, Ehtesham Ali, a fresh consignment of 1,800 kg of essential medicines has been delivered to District Kurram’s Parachinar DHQ Hospital.
According to Ehtesham Ali, these medicines were transported using the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s official helicopter, ensuring a timely supply to the region despite logistical challenges.
The consignment includes antibiotics, antihypertensive drugs, anti-inflammatory medicines, and fever & cough syrups for children. Additionally, critical medical equipment and laboratory serums have also been provided to facilitate healthcare services in the area.
The Medical Superintendent (MS) of Parachinar DHQ Hospital had requested an urgent supply of medicines three days ago, prompting swift action by the provincial government.
Ehtesham Ali reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services, stating that until road access to the area is fully restored, essential medical supplies will continue to be delivered via helicopter.
The initiative reflects the KP government’s dedication to public welfare and its proactive approach in addressing healthcare needs in remote areas.
