KARACHI: Bank Alfalah has opened its 1,200th branch at Khayaban-e-Shamsheer in Karachi, marking a major milestone in the bank’s nationwide expansion.

The new Retail-cum-Premiere Branch combines conventional banking services with digital facilities and includes a dedicated Premiere Banking Lounge for premium customers.

The branch features modern infrastructure, digital self-service options and dedicated relationship managers aimed at providing customers with a more convenient and personalised banking experience.

Speaking at the inauguration, Bank Alfalah President and Chief Executive Officer Atif Bajwa said the milestone reflected the trust placed in the bank by millions of customers.

He said that while digital banking continued to grow, strategically located branches remained important for customers seeking personalised services and stronger relationships with banking teams.

Mehreen Ahmed, Group Head of Retail Banking at Bank Alfalah, said the new branch strengthened the bank’s commitment to financial inclusion and expanding access to banking services across Pakistan.

She said Bank Alfalah currently serves around nine million customers and continues to invest in both physical and digital banking channels.

According to the bank, it now operates 1,200 branches, employs more than 17,000 people and maintains an international presence in four countries.

The Khayaban-e-Shamsheer opening comes as Pakistan’s banking sector increasingly adopts hybrid service models that combine digital convenience with branch-based customer support.
