DUBAI, September 29, 2026: The player auction list for the fifth season of the DP World International League T20 (ILT20) has been released, featuring Pakistan stars Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman alongside several prominent international cricketers.
The auction is scheduled to take place on October 1 at the ICC Academy in Dubai, with more than 200 players from 23 countries expected to be part of the process.
Players have been divided into three base-price categories of $80,000, $40,000 and $10,000.
The top $80,000 category includes Babar Azam, Phil Salt, Tom Banton, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Wanindu Hasaranga, Faf du Plessis, Liam Livingstone, Alzarri Joseph, Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah, Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Alex Hales and Chris Woakes.
The $40,000 category features Pakistan’s Shadab Khan along with Ibrahim Zadran, Jayden Seales, Tabraiz Shamsi, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Kusal Perera and Gulbadin Naib, among others.
The $10,000 category includes Rilee Rossouw, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, George Munsey, Ish Sodhi and Matthew Potts. Players from the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia will also enter the auction with a base price of $10,000.
Each franchise will be required to build a squad of at least 18 and no more than 23 players. Teams will also have a Right to Match option for one former UAE player.
Under the competition’s playing conditions, each match’s playing XI must include at least two UAE players, two Afghan players and one player from another Associate nation.
Franchises have been allocated different budgets for the auction, with MI Emirates reported to have the largest purse.
The auction is expected to determine the composition of squads for the upcoming fifth season of the ILT20, with several high-profile international players available for selection.
