Pakistan made a strong start to its Asian Games 2026 hockey campaign, defeating Thailand 9-0 in its opening Group B match in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Pakistan dominated the match from the outset, maintaining sustained pressure on Thailand’s defence and scoring nine goals without conceding. The victory gives Pakistan a winning start in a group that also includes Malaysia, China, Oman and Uzbekistan.
Pakistan’s Group B Schedule
Pakistan will play its next group match against Uzbekistan on September 22.
The national team will then face China on September 24, Malaysia on September 26 and Oman on September 28.
Pakistan will be seeking to maintain its momentum through the group stage as it looks to advance to the next phase of the Asian Games hockey competition.
