The 20th Asian Games have officially opened in Japan, with the Pakistani delegation making its appearance at the opening ceremony in Nagoya.
The Games feature 10,840 athletes from 45 countries competing across 43 sports. Pakistan is represented in several disciplines, including men’s and women’s cricket.
Pakistan’s Campaign at the Asian Games
Pakistan’s women’s cricket team has already secured a place in the semi-finals of the cricket competition.
Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem is also set to compete at the Games, adding another major name to Pakistan’s athletics contingent.
The Asian Games will bring athletes from across Asia together for competition in a wide range of sporting events in Japan.
