Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi conducted its first entry test for undergraduate admissions Fall 2026 on June 14, with thousands of candidates appearing at the main campus and test centres across Pakistan.
The PMAS-AAUR undergraduate entry test was held to facilitate students seeking admission to the university’s Fall 2026 programmes. The university said the response reflected growing interest among applicants from different regions of the country.
In addition to the main campus in Rawalpindi, the test was conducted simultaneously in 14 cities to make the admissions process more accessible for candidates. The designated centres included Attock, Khushab, Chakwal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Burewala, Multan, Rajanpur, Bhalwal, Skardu and Gilgit.
The university said the arrangement allowed students to appear closer to their hometowns and reduced the need for long-distance travel.
Vice Chancellor reviews test arrangements
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman said PMAS-AAUR was committed to providing quality higher education through qualified faculty, modern academic facilities and an inclusive admissions process.
He said the university was working to make admissions more convenient for students across Pakistan by expanding access to entry test centres and improving facilitation.
Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, along with the registrar and other senior university officials, visited examination halls to review arrangements and monitor the conduct of the test. They also interacted with candidates and expressed satisfaction over the management and transparent organization of the admission test.
The first entry test was held after the registration deadline of June 12. The university also provided on-the-spot registration on the test day for applicants who were unable to complete the online registration process.
Second entry test scheduled for July 12
The second undergraduate entry test for Fall 2026 admissions will be held on July 12, while the registration deadline has been set for July 10.
Students who registered for the first entry test but could not appear will remain eligible to take the second test without re-registration, according to the university.
