Islamabad:- The Islamabad High Court will constitute a larger bench on Tuesday (today) to hear the social media campaign case against Justice Babar Sattar.
According to sources, Justice Sattar asked Justice Farooq to file a contempt case against someone who violated his family’s privacy by sharing information online, including his residence permit in the US.
On Sunday morning, the IHC’s public relations department responded to the social media campaign, calling it “false, malicious and hateful”.
Hakim is also accused of hiding assets in Pakistan and the United States.
“Justice Babar Sattar never had any nationality other than Pakistan,” the IHC said.
Justice Sattar is among the six judges of the IHC, who can write to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, suggesting that the intelligence agencies are interfering in the proceedings.
