Karachi: Pakistani businessman Bismah Maroof and shoemaker Ghulam Fatima sustained minor injuries after they were involved in a car accident on Friday. CT scan on Saturday ruled out any concussion or more serious injuries.
The PCB said in a statement that the two were immediately given first aid and attended to by the board’s medical team.
Both players are part of the training camp in anticipation of the home series against the West Indies Women.
The series, comprising three ODIs and five T20Is, will begin on April 18 and all eight matches will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Maroof and Fatima both featured in the last ODI series against Pakistan in New Zealand in December, where Maroof scored 89 in three matches before reaching 68 in the third match in a consolation win. With six wickets, Fatima took the leading score from both sides.
West Indies Women announced their squad last month. They gathered for a training camp in Dubai on Saturday to prepare for the trip.
