LAHORE: Pakistan Super League (PSL) side Peshawar Zalmi received a major boost on Thursday after Afghan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq confirmed that he will join the side soon.
Naveen shared the update in a story on his official Instagram account.
Babar Azam-led Zalmi have lost both their matches in PSL 9 so far and will therefore be happy to field a quality pacer in their side.
Earlier, Karachi Kings beat Peshawar Zalmi by seven wickets in the sixth match of the ongoing PSL at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday.
Karachi’s platinum pick, Kieron Pollard, played with the bat as he guided the former PSL champions to a comfortable victory by successfully chasing down the 155-run target.

The Kings started cautiously as the target was not too big to chase and continued to play with the required run rate in sight.
Pollard amassed 49 runs in 21 balls with eight boundaries.
In the first innings, the Royals bowlers caused all sorts of trouble to the Zalmi batsmen.
Zalmi led 40-3 in just 5.1 overs but captain Azam stayed at the crease and took control of his side’s batting. The 29-year-old put on a 68-run partnership with Rovman Powell but the latter departed after contributing 39 runs. Azam scored 72 runs in 51 balls.
