Renowned Indian Comedian Goes Missing After Show, Wife Files Report

India’s famous comedian Sunil Pal went missing after a show, prompting his wife to approach the police.

According to Indian media reports, the 49-year-old comedian had traveled to another city outside Mumbai for a show and informed his wife that he would return home on December 3. However, he did not return.

Concerned over his absence, his wife, Sarita Pal, filed a missing person complaint at a Mumbai police station, stating that despite repeated attempts, there was no response from his phone.

Police Response

Some Indian media outlets have reported that the police have traced Sunil Pal and are in constant contact with him. Meanwhile, a paparazzi account, Viral Bhayani, also confirmed via Instagram, quoting Sarita Pal, that the police have established contact with Sunil, but he has yet to return home.

Sunil Pal’s Career Highlights

Sunil Pal gained fame in 2005 by winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He later appeared in supporting roles in films such as Hum Tum and Phir Hera Pheri.

In 2017, he made headlines when he filed a case against renowned filmmaker Anees Bazmee for not paying him for a performance. In an interview, Sunil revealed, “I have 2 to 2.5 million rupees stuck with various producers. Delayed payments are common, but for a producer like Anees Bazmee, who deals in millions, this behavior is unacceptable.”
