Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is reportedly preparing to return to the film industry after maternity leave, with plans to resume shooting alongside Shah Rukh Khan for his upcoming action thriller King.
According to Indian media reports, including Variety, Deepika is expected to join the film’s production in Mumbai on October 26, where she and Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly shoot a major musical sequence.
The song is expected to be choreographed by renowned Bollywood choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant, with other cast members potentially joining the elaborate production.
However, details about the song’s title, music composer and overall concept have not yet been disclosed.
Deepika Padukone returns after welcoming second child
Deepika’s reported return comes just weeks after she and her husband, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, welcomed their second child on September 19, 2026.
The actress has been away from filming following the birth of her baby, making her anticipated appearance in King a significant development for fans awaiting her return to the big screen.
Although reports suggest that preparations for the musical sequence are underway, an official announcement confirming her shooting schedule has yet to be made.
